House The House DJ Competition

H2H House of CommonsHouse The House DJ Competition is a new-found competition set up by Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation, open to entry for 16-25 year olds. The competition is running 12 proposed heats up and down the country including Brighton, London, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, Liverpool, Glasgow, Belfast & Cardiff.

The competition has been set up to educate, enable and support young people to express their creativity through their chosen media, thereby regenerating and enhancing their communities through music.

Up for grabs for the winner is:

  • The chance to make history as the first ever DJ to play a set at the House of Commons Terrace in London, alongside an international superstar DJ, on 6th March 2013.
  • £1000’s worth of DJ equipment
  • DJ Academy courses at Ministry of Sound DJ Academy
  • A full audio production scholarship at one of 4 UK-based, world-renowned SAE Institute
  • A DJ set in Ibiza at We Love… Space 2013

Entrants must enter their own mix, of any genre chosen by the entrant, with the maximum length of 30 minutes to the Mixcloud of the competition and then title the mix “House The House DJ Competition”. The mix must also be tagged as “House The House DJ Competition” – otherwise the mix may be missed. The entrants must also include the competition artwork, provided here, with a tracklist of the mix. Entrants must promote the mix by using social media (Facebook, Twitter, G+) or by any other means chosen – but the mix must gain over 50 plays to be considered for the shortlist. Entrants must also register with Vinspired.

The grand final of the competition will take place in London in 2013.

This is a competition not to be missed! We get excited just thinking about watching the set, let alone play it! And then to gain all of those prizes on top…
