Preview: Shakedown 2012

Shakedown 2012On 6th October at Stanmer Park, Brighton, Shakedown Festival returns for the second year and brings the most exciting names in contemporary music to Brighton for one last festival outing of the season. With such an in-depth line up of talent, Shakedown is the perfect end to an incredible summer of festival fun for one day only. SoapBox spoke to The Zeitgeist Agency and Shakedown about the current line up and what everyone should expect from the festival.

Due to the amazing success of last year’s event, Shakedown is back and bigger. Although it’s only a one day festival it has the overall energy and atmosphere to last an entire weekend. The event is packed full of things to do, including fairground rides, a VIP arena supplied by Hed Kandi, two more massive stages, a wide choice of drinks vendors, a world-class line up of chart-topping acts and much, much more to be confirmed! All of this and tickets range from £40 to £75! Early bird tickets are on sale now, so get them while they’re cheap!

The line-up is being increased more and more every week and is definitely going to be one hell of an experience!

The current line-up stands as:

Chase & Status, Dizzee Rascal, Professor Green, Katy B, Stooshe, Freemasons, Shy FX, Ms. Dynamite, Knife Party, Zane Lowe, Seamus Haji, Phil Haversham, Clement Marfo & The Frontline, Union,  Friction, Special Ks, The Prototypes, B Traits, Brimmer and many more acts to be confirmed in the following weeks.

Of course the SoapBox team will be in full attendance, as this is a brand new part of Brighton’s culture that has established itself and reminds everyone just what Brighton is renowned for. We personally can’t wait for the event and expect to see all of our supporters there, enjoying themselves and smashing it with us!
