As Elephants Should Be!

This four-piece aren’t just a bunch of indie kids who think they’re cool because they can play instruments. As Elephants Are have shown that they are a breath of fresh air with this faultless EP release, “Hand Prints”. The title track sets the tone of the four-track EP, starting with a piercing guitar, backed brilliantly by the rest of the band and topped off with some great vocals. “Kingdom” is the stand out track on the EP, the power of crashing drums and catchy lyrics make this a very uplifting track, and probably the best on the EP.

The other two tracks that make up the EP – “Souls” and “Went Wrong” – are both great (listen for yourself!) – but “Kingdom” and “Hand Prints” make the EP stand a cut above the rest.

The energetic melodies and strong riffs throughout the EP make this such a special release. Lead singer, Ben Stratford, vocals the tracks superbly, keeping to a style reminiscent of Orlando Weeks (The Maccabees).

If all elephants sounded like this, the world would be a better place. As Elephants Are have set the bar quite high for themselves – can’t wait to see what they do next!

You can catch them at a number of festivals this summer, including Redfest and Truck.
